Awakening earlier than six....to a sun ready to blaze the day. Setting up my easel and thinking about beginning to....sort through where to begin. It starts with a mark, a color and then it’s like a symphony. The lull,excitement and drama awaits me.

VINEYARD MORNING...................

....First morning of Vineyard time quite an early rising.....ahem, 5ish. A tad early. Awakening to the sunrise, the subtle movement of waves and the sounds of buoys clamoring.
Inspiring being in the Thomas Hart Benton cottage. Looking forward to getting my paints out. Humorously, while inspired by surroundings I bring my internal inspiration and have a clamoring of my own of the mix. Usually paintings looking nothing like the view that captures me but all the same capturing it somehow.

Washington Art Association 2010 Juried Show

A beautiful day for a show after torrential rainstorms heading down from Boston,MA. Delightful to be in Washington,CT....lunch at Good NEws Cafe, dinner at Oliva....The Pantry for lunch ...seeing good friends and art.
The show will be on exhibit until the middle of June.
